It’s great that we have so many options for home entertainment these days. A home cinema with smart TV, surround sound, multi-room audio systems, Blu-ray players and the like with central control via a panel or tablet PC is the latest must-have.

Of course it all needs to be properly installed and maintained, so it’s best to get the professionals involved. That’s where EF Electrical comes in.

  • Install them to fit seamlessly into your domestic wiring
  • Set up a centralised control system that can even be integrated into your intelligent lighting and home security
  • Keep your installation in good working order

Helpful Tip - AV Home Cinema Equipment

Most people like to keep their home cinema system out of sight, but it must have adequate ventilation so that it won’t overheat and malfunction or cause a fire risk. If you keep it in a cupboard, cabinet or other small space, use an electric fan to cool it or keep the door open whilst it’s in use.

Helpful Tip 2 - Blu-ray

If you like to watch the HD TV channels, it’s worth upgrading your DVD player to a Blu-ray one. The Blu-ray quality picture is comparable with the high definition TV one.

FAQ - What is Blu-ray?

It’s an optical disc like a DVD which is based on a blue-violet laser rather than a red one. This laser has a shorter wavelength that means it can hold more data and record and playback high definition video. It can hold more than five times the amount of data that can be stored on a DVD.

FAQ - Will you source and fit an electric fan to cool our equipment?

We’ll be happy to do that if it’s what you want. Or if you prefer to buy it yourself, we’ll make sure you know what to get.
